1535 AD ITALY PONTE SANT ANGELO
The Medici papal arms and one of the two apostle statues Pope Clement VII commissioned for Ponte Sant'Angelo, funded from the bridge's own toll income and set up in 1534-1535: Lorenzetto's Saint Peter and Paolo Romano's Saint Paul, still flanking the bridge's entrance today, more than a century before Bernini's angels were added to the parapet.
